Peter Paul Rubens is a Flemish painter who embodied in his own works the vitality, mobility and sensuality of painting in Europe of the Baroque era.

Paul rarely painted landscapes - his work forced him to engage in live scenes, but still he created several paintings of his favorite landscape. While riding his native land, Rubens sometimes stopped, his attention was attracted by bushes, trees, gates, all this seemed to him important, he could not help but reproduce important on paper. One of these important paintings is “Landscape with a Rainbow”.

With his originally developed free style, which Rubens painted for his own pleasure, he reproduced his favorite place on the canvas, he wanted to see the picture as much in love as he did with his heart in love. The wonderful charms of flowers and gentle light in the picture convey the personality of her character, the emotions of this masterpiece are much stronger than the emotions of paintings painted earlier.

Rubens' eyes were filled with passion, mystery, curiosity, a desire to convey his emotions and experiences - all this was reproduced by his hand on the canvas. The brightness, brilliance of the sky, the simple but at the same time such a hectic life of the peasants, a life that extends far beyond the horizons of trees and fields, was very accurately transmitted. And the rainbow that flies over sparkling trees conveys an endless mystery.

The nature familiar to us becomes unique when baroque masters begin to reproduce it on their canvases. They seek to convey the turbulent life of the world, the dynamics of the elements.

Looking at the paintings of Paul Rubens, you can feel the joy of life, a sense of positiveness and beauty of the world. All these words can be attributed to many paintings, but real emotions, feelings and falling in love with their native land can be seen and felt in Paul's painting “Landscape with a Rainbow“
